Sustainable Custom Furniture at Silicon Valley Open Studios
Just before the pandemic, I had been taking classes and developing recipes in preparation for opening a vegan restaurant. As I age, I want to change careers to something meaningful and easier on an older body. At that time, I was still very busy with murals and faux. As the pandemic raged, my decorative painting business came to a halt. Also, I realized how vulnerable the restaurant business can be. I had also been working on a few pieces of furniture made from used and discarded materials. While I believe veganism is great for the planet and prevents so much suffering, I also think reusing, reducing and recycling are as important for a sustainable future. With the support of my sole investor, Anthony Francis, I have been able to build up an inventory of furniture. This year studiosandi will be participating in the Silicon Valley Open Studios. We purchased the half page ad, a copy of which is posted below.
Anthony Francis’s Library of Dresan blog is dresan.com.

Carrot Finger or Bunny cage?
We need giggles right now.
Laughter can bring us together.
Together we stand.
I thought it would be funny to mix Nicolas Cage with a bunny, Bunny Cage. Only one person guessed it was Nicolas Cage, so I call it Carrot Fingers. For my KALEID Gallery feature show during the month of March, I will have several animal celebrity mix ups.
